i have 2 dozen or so laptops, 2 windows 2003 servers, and a growing number
of desktops(HP rp5000 and Dell vostro 200 slims) all running deltacopy as
the rsyncd frontend.

my offsite archive is 40 miles away at another shop and is a simple dell
dimension e521 running ubuntu 7.04. i have it configured to rsync a few
directories such as the backuppc data directory and the $Topdir and the
$Configdir. i just run rsync via cron. pretty simple setup. i do mount the
directories from the long distance archive machine back a vmware image. i
have that vmware machine setup that is configured to read these directories
so i can access that data whenever i like in case i have an issue with the
main backuppc box, which i havent yet.
