I think maybe you should force one every week.  If you force only the
first one (on Monday, perhaps), what happens if the machine or network
is down on the next Monday?  BackupPC will do a full on Tuesday and
every Tuesday thereafter.  If you force one on every Monday, the system
would constantly try to correct for this kind of situation.

Just try to make sure that the forced backup happens before BackupPC
begins a scheduled full backup of the same host (or is there something
built-in that would prevent this?)
