if you just type 'mount' does the directory show as backed up? also, what
is your config directory..
did you copy all the files from /var/lib/backuppc into /ext/backup/BackupPC
before you mounted it? if not, unmount /var/lib/backuppc, then copy the
contents to the target directory and remount
