I've been reading through the forums and I've read two conflicting
pieces of information. Could someone please clear this up.

Does rsync transmit only the block of data that has changed - or is the
whole file transmitted if the file has changed?

(Example: A windows user has changed a graphic file from 1MB to 2MB.
That night Rsync will only need to transmit (roughly) the 1MB
difference?)

WINDOWS CLIENT:

rsync version 2.6.6 protocol version 29

DEBIAN BACKUPPC SERVER:

rsync version 2.6.9 protocol version 29
