first, put the full period to 999 and then make the incremental list
something like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18, and so on for
however many incrementals you would like between full backups. this list
can go at least to 99, i have tried it that high, but it may go to 999.
then you can have a single 'source' full backup and incrementals for nearly
3 years before you must do a full backup again.
consider also scheduling a once per year full backup on December 31. you
can do that in cron. if you do that be sure to adjust your full keep count
to however many years you would like.
