Hi,

I am using currently the 3.0 version (Ubuntu, 7.10)

First Question:

How can I restore a whole backup?

1. I created a linux backup, with "/" (root) share. It backs up everytging
2. If I want to restore something, i have do:

/usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_tarCreate -h 192.168.0.11 -n 0 -s \/ -t etc/
>bambi.tar

BUT I want to put the whole backup into one tar:

/usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC_tarCreate -h 192.168.0.11 -n 0 -s \/ -t *
>bambi.tar
The "*" is not works.

It is wise to use only one share? There is any performance, or other reason to
separate the shares?
I back up Mail and Web servers too, with many-many small files. Do I need to
use more than one share here?

Second Question:

I have some missing icons, and I cant find them on the CVS tree, but the code
uses them, these are:

icon-chardev.png
icon-fifo.png

And Last:

Witch dirs, or files are commonly advised not to backup? :

/tmp dir, its ok
/proc dir ?
/dev ?
?
