Hi guys,

How would we go about making Archive backups that span tapes?

Currently we have 200GB/400GB tapes and we need to backup 380GB
(according to BackupPC) to it.

If we run BackupPC with ArchiveSplit set to 300000 we get the following
after 20 hours:

2008-03-06 11:47:04 Starting archive
2008-03-07 07:47:04 cleaning up after signal ALRM
2008-03-07 07:47:06 Archive failed (aborted by signal=ALRM)

If we do the procedure without the ArchiveSplit we get:

2008-03-08 08:10:49 Starting archive
2008-03-08 15:36:34 Archive failed (Error:
/usr/local/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC_tarCreate, compress or split failed)

Which we've taken to mean that it ran out of space on the tapes.

Any advice of suggestions to get the data to tape?
