thank you for your email. but i have probleme whith socket.pm when i type:

perl BackupPC, i have a message: can 't locate socket.pm

the same thing when i type:
cpan > install IO::socket

after installation the socket, and i try again perl BackupNotify, error 
socket.pm

That's right.  The first comment block is indented by one space,
so the first line is ' #!/usr/bin/perl' and therefore not being
executed by perl.
