On my "testserver" I tried to upgrade BackupPC from 2.x (Ubuntu 7.04) using the backports repository and also the manual way with 'sudo perl configure.pl'.
Unfortunately none of these methods worked, using apt-get and the backports repository stalls the installation procedure and with the manual attempt I couldn't start backuppc (nothing happened when entering /etc/init.d/backuppc start. 1) how can I get rid of all backuppc files that are installed when doing a manual installation 2) has someone successfully upgraded to BackupPC 3.10 on Ubuntu 7.04 and can post a short quick'n dirty howto best regards - kurt ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
