Yohoo! I got a "no ping" message on the web frontend while scheduling a manual backup of a host. However, pinging the host from the backuppc worked fine.
The logfile told me then the issue: LOG:2008-11-02 22:29:26 tp: test hardlink between /var/lib/BackupPC//pc/tp and /var/lib/BackupPC//cpool failed And yes, I had an issue earlier with the iSCSI device where the backup are stored. I simply rebooted.
