Hi, and welcome to the backuppc community, I'm sure you will enjoy using backuppc :) Secondly, thank you so much for providing all of the information in your first post, so we don't need to guess about what is happening and can help you so easily... > full backup started for directory / > Running: /usr/bin/ssh -v -x -l backuppc servertobackup.example.com <http://servertobackup.example.com> sudo /usr/bin/rsync --server --sender --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group -D --links --hard-links --times --block-size=2048 --recursive --ignore-times . / > Xfer PIDs are now 2309 > Got remote protocol 1852141647 > Fatal error (bad version): OpenSSH_5.1p1 Debian-5ubuntu1, OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007 > > Remote[105]: 1 Debian-5ubuntu1, OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007 > debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config > > What can I do? How can I debug this? Remove the -v from the ssh command, backup expects to see the rsync binary data, it doesn't expect to see the ssh debug output, this is your current problem, but perhaps it is masking another problem that you were having before. Change that, and then let us see what is happening. Good luck.
