BackupPC won’t do bare metal. It’ll back up the bits that you specify in the
config. It will certainly backup MySQL using the GNU MySQLAutoBackup:

It has a nice web interface to keep track of the backups. Documentation is
sufficient though, you have to be comfortable with the shell and Perl.
