I could probably help if it were Centos and sendmail, but it's probably just a matter of asking in the right place to get exim help. You may have two issues - one is getting the mailer to send it and the other is setting a 'From:' that the receiving host will accept - most mailers these days will reject anything that doesn't have a domain that DNS will resolve in the sender's From: address.
