Some (most?) of us on the mailing list do not keep a history of past
messages. Please include enough context in your replies so that they
make sense without having to refer to previous messages.
I remember that your BackupFilesOnly setting was messed up, but I don't
remember what your original error was or what other settings you were using.

I've been following this thread since I'm experiencing the same issue. The
error message is "tree connect failed: nt_status_access_denied". Not to hijack
the thread but my problems started when I upgraded to backuppc v3.10 and samba
v3.5.6. Till that point backuppc worked fine. Now I get the same error
message as the OP. I am using samba for backup and a mixture of xp, win7 and
vista PCs, all of which experience the same issue. We (the OP and I) would
certainly like some help debugging. TIA
