This is off the BackupPC topic; but for mobile computing/push-based backups, we've been using Crashplan Pro (http://www.crashplan.com/). It's commercial, but it's pretty good. It works much like BackupPC (I think it may use DeltaSync on the back end) but is push-driven and has a nice GUI interface the user can configure to throttle bandwidth when the computer is busy, etc.
