For a physical solution to this, I use a removable drive cartridge. Once a week I rsync the whole backuppc file system (/var/lib/backuppc) onto an encrypted volume stored on the removable drive, then carry the removable drive off-site. I rotate three removable drives: one in the drive bay, one on the shelf for the next use, and one (the most recent) always stored off-site. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
