this is my archive.pl conf:

$Conf{XferMethod} = 'archive';
$Conf{ArchiveComp} = 'gzip';
$Conf{CompressLevel} = '1';

I read your answar late, I went ahead writing my own script to call
Backuppc_tarCreate. I will post it here...
