Im showing correct ownership of that folder and it's files now. when i ssh -l root cableweb3.ca whoami;
The authenticity of host 'cableweb3.ca (50.21.229.37)' can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is 3e:4c:c3:ac:96:a8:e0:8c:88:93:88:b2:e9:77:11:62. Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes Warning: Permanently added 'cableweb3.ca,50.21.229.37' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. root Now, it looks like it appended that rsa key to the known hosts file in /var/lib/backuppc/.ssh, which is wierd because i was under the impression that was part of the key exchange instructions already. I just started backing up that server and its pulling data like mad. I really appreciate the help guys, this problem was gonna give me a tumor eventually. +---------------------------------------------------------------------- |This was sent by derr...@masconcable.ca via Backup Central. |Forward SPAM to ab...@backupcentral.com. +---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
