Using VirtualBox , I changed from an XP host to a linux host. Then
backuppc got this error until ,
Change the protection on the source backup disks to SHARED in the host
machine. ( change to su , right click on the volume )
Then it works & I think you could even carry on backups to existing ones
incrementally.
