In case that isn't clear, C$ is a hidden 'administrative' share that
is enabled by default for MS admin tools and only visible if you
connect with admin credentials.   It is possible to disable it for
security purposes, but that also breaks remote management.   You can
explicitly share other things if you want, but normally the only
advantage would be if you can't connect with admin rights or if you
have disable the administrative shares.
