Hey Les, You're right, after some further investigation - it was - as the files "date modified" was prior to the date of the last full backup. I used touch on the files to change the date modified, and they got backed up. Guess I'm still stuck in Symancrap BackupExec's Archive Bit mentality :p -----Original Message----- From: Les Mikesell <lesmikes...@gmail.com> Reply-to: "General list for user discussion, questions and support" <backuppc-users@lists.sourceforge.net> To: "General list for user discussion, questions and support" <backuppc-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: Re: [BackupPC-users] BackupPC not backing up contents of certain Directories (No Error in XFER log) Date: Thu, 3 Jul 2014 10:08:42 -0500 On Thu, Jul 3, 2014 at 5:26 AM, Jurie Botha <jur...@taprojects.co.za> wrote: > > > I am having an issue with BackupPC not backing up certain files. > > I did a Full backup of a servre 2003 File Sever Share - which seemed to > have run through fine. > > I then Copied some MP3 files to a test structure, and ran an incremental > Backup. It may be normal - if your 2nd run was an incremental and the method used to copy the files preserved a timestamp earlier than your prior full run. Smb and tar backups can only use the file timestamps to determine what to include. That's one of the advantages of rsync/rsynd which can actually compare the directories. If that is the case, they should be included in your next full run. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open source business process management suite built on Java and Eclipse Turn processes into business applications with Bonita BPM Community Edition Quickly connect people, data, and systems into organized workflows Winner of BOSSIE, CODIE, OW2 and Gartner awards http://p.sf.net/sfu/Bonitasoft _______________________________________________ BackupPC-users mailing list BackupPC-users@lists.sourceforge.net List: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki: http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
