Hi,
I found an old thread (starting at
http://sourceforge.net/p/backuppc/mailman/message/27515025/) discussing
BackupPC on NAS.

I am in the process to select a very small NAS for SOHO/Home usage; I'm
currently looking at Synology DS414j.
I do not need a very high throughput and I would like to run BackupPC directly
on the NAS itself, if at all possible.
It seems someone (Tomasz Pawlik) managed to install it on a lowly Synology
DS110j, so I have hopes ;)

Question is:
Does anyone have experience on this?
If so, would he share knowledge avoiding me the effort of reinventing the wheel
yet another time?

My target would be to package BackupPC into a Synology Package for easier
deployment.

I am currently testing with an old Synolgy DS209 sharing the POOL via NFS and a
linux server running BackupPC,
but aim is to backup its contents and a bunch of other PCs (Win&Linux) on the
new NAS.

Regards
Mauro
