Hi all,

as you might know I have a script generated which takes a snapshot of a
ESXi-VM, tars, zips, and splits them so BackupPC can rsync them over for
backup purposes. Unfortunately there seems to be a bug in the vmware
command line tool so I am not able to remove a single snapshot. I have
to remove all existing ones.

This is not really an issue as snapshots should not be used for backup
purposes.

But now I created a VM where I took a lot of snapshots and the VM was
backed up by my script and BackupPC. Fine so far- but all snapshots got
removed after backup.

Now I have my snapshot in ab Incr backupc. As I want to keep the
snapshot at least for a year: is there a way to upgrade this incremental
backup to be a full one? Or to prevent BackupPC removing this single
incremental one?

Thanks for any hints!

Christian
