Aha! You may be on to something here.

Something seems to have happened during the last days or so.
Have some log-digging to do it seems...

"Pings to 'FQDN' have succeeded 9 consecutive times.
Because 'FQDN' has been on the network at least 7 consecutive times, it will 
not be backed up from 8:00 to 18:00 on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri."

Will read up some more on the ping command too.
