Hi everyone,
Some hours ago, I was able to restore a single file from a backuppc pool without having the backuppc software installed. One of the most difficult issues was uncompressing it. I googled a lot, and I found this: https://files.scene.org/view/mirrors/flerp/groups.hun/ESP-team/linux/Zzzz...1.0.tar.gz https://files.scene.org/view/mirrors/flerp/groups.hun/ESP-team/linux/Zzzz...1.0.tar.txt (both are links for other mirrors where the real files are stored) total 28K -rwxr-xr-x 1 1001 1001 25 jul 14 1999 compile -rw-r--r-- 1 1001 1001 3,9K jul 14 1999 inflate2b.c -rw-r--r-- 1 1001 1001 971 jul 14 1999 README -rwxr-xr-x 1 1001 1001 14K feb 23 22:37 z z: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.24, BuildID[sha1]=338f8259adcded30d1f1fd2c5895007f3c2cd5de, not stripped The C code doesn't compile (it's from 1999), but the binary works very good. I hope this would be a good start point to develop a 3rd party code to parse BackupPC logs in standalone mode. If you can't download it, please tell me and I would upload it elsewhere.
