Hi I had to re-install cygwin on a Win7 client but kept the same 'backuppc' user on the system and I see that backuppc can't connect any more.
I tried ssh'ing to the client from linux and there were warning messages about unknown hosts which I was able to sort out. This is what I see in the logs from a test restore on a file: Running: /usr/bin/ssh -q -x -l backuppc fangorn /usr/bin/rsync --server --numeric-ids --perms --owner --group -D --links --hard-links --times --block-size=2048 --relative --ignore-times --recursive . /cygdrive/d/Documents/ Xfer PIDs are now 12390 Rsync command pid is 12390 Fetching remote protocol Read EOF: Connection reset by peer Tried again: got 0 bytes Done: 0 files, 0 bytes restore failed: Unable to read 4 bytes If I run the command from a shell, it connects and sits there waiting, which I assume is good.
