Situation definitely improved after applying the patch (now we see a list
of files passing via sambe), but backup still gets marked as bad:

File /var/lib/BackupPC//pc/tp2.dev.videonext.net/XferLOG.bad.z
Contents of file /var/lib/BackupPC//pc/tp2.dev.videonext.net/XferLOG.bad.z,
modified 2016-08-29 12:55:56

Running: /usr/bin/smbclient \\\\tp2.dev.videonext.net\\C -U BACKUP -E -d 1
-c tarmode\ full -Tc - \\BACKUP
full backup started for share C

Got fatal error during xfer (No files dumped for share C)
Backup aborted (No files dumped for share C)
Not saving this as a partial backup since it has fewer files than the prior
one (got 997 and 0 files versus 997)

Thank you,
