Doug,
Since you copied the exact source from git, you should make sure these two
lines (the first, and a few lines down):
#!/usr/bin/perl
....
use lib "/usr/local/BackupPC/lib";
in BackupPC_tarCreate and BackupPC_zipCreate point to the correct perl and
BackupPC lib directory on your installation.
Is there an error message in the server LOG file?
