Hi Guys,

I have run BackupPC for more than 10 years in all sorts of different setups,
and I love the product. I just installed a completely new Debian 9.1 with only
backuppc and a few tools, then I set up backup of two Windows Servers,
litteraly only took 20minutes - really nice ;-)
BUT for some reason I get "PaxHeader" folders all over my backup when browsing
it. I have googled this and found several links on the topic, and I'm quite
aware that this is not an issue with backuppc, but rather a combination of
smbclient and gnutar and following the Posix standards or not, however I
haven't found any clear workaround on this.

Can anyone give me a quick hint on how to work around this? I mean the whole
point of running Debian stable is to rely on the packages that tested and
working - what should I do, manually upgrade/downgrade tar?

Thank in advance ;-)
