Can you increase the log level (XferLogLevel) to, eg, 5 and send me either the
whole log file, or at a minimum the last few hundred lines up to and including
the error? Just send it directly to me, and not to the list, or we could use
Google drive or dropbox etc.

order to ensure a consistent backup I use one of the snapshots from the
