I'd like to get to the bottom of this.  Let's work on this off-list.

My first set of questions:

   - is this during a full or incremental backup?
   - can you send me an XferLOG file please?
   - what's in the attrib file in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d or
   /usr/lib/cgi-bin/nut on the most recent backup (eg, use
   BackupPC_attribPrint)?
