I just pushed new packages to https://github.com/backuppc/backuppc/wiki/Build-Your-Own-Packages#ubuntu-1804-lts-bionic-beaver

Feedback appreciated.

However, I am still using rsync-bpc 3.0.9 . Updating to 3.1.x.y will require more time that I currently do not have.

My notes basically expand upon your HOWTO... and were what I needed to
make it right...
Disclaimer: I am a debian package and git newbie so there may be
better ways... but what I did works at least...

Any cleanup of my notes is appreciated...

Thanks! I'll see when I get time to review them ;-)
