>From the way that is worded, it sounds like having BackupPC_nightly running at the same time as backups is not a critical issue but possibly undesirable. Maybe due to performance reasons? Or is my data silently being corrupted? Maybe it would explain why I’m sometimes getting missing pool files? I have a blackout period between “6 – 23”, so I have now set my wakeup schedule to “8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23”. I’m assuming this is the approach I need to take? You might want to re-arrange the entries in $Conf{WakeupSchedule} <https://backuppc42.knebb.de/backuppc/index.cgi?action=view&type=docs#_conf_wakeupschedule_> (they don't have to be ascending) so that the first entry is when you want BackupPC_nightly to run (eg: when you don't expect a lot of regular backups to run). So there is your solution...
