Hi Les,

no it is not related to ressources (almost I do not think it is).
The container has 20GB allowed in RAM and 6 cores and rsync is not a parallel/threaded application
-> running 3 backup at this time,
-> load average: 4,13, 3,84, 2,80 (so it is < 6)
-> Memory use is low:
KiB Mem : 20971520 total, 11553648 free,   632412 used,  8785460 buff/cache
KiB Swap:  4194304 total,  4089176 free,   105128 used. 11553648 avail Mem

About the laptop with the large folder to backup, iftop show very few transferts so I suppose backuppc is doing something else. My rsync manual test show I can reach sufficient bandwidth on the network (laptop is cionnected with 1Gb ethernet and the Container has a 10Gb ethernet access to the switch so 3 backups in parallel should not be a problem)

I do not know what BackupPc is doing exactly when it is running

some clients have no valid backups for months.
First guess would be that your container is short on RAM and having to
swap to work at all.
