I looked at making that change for read (and verify), but it is not possible without an architectual change. To do it correctly requires knowing the Volume name for the first volume. The current design passes the Volume name and other parmeters in the bootstrap file via the FD long after the drive is assigned. Either just the first Volume name would need to be passed during the reservation process, or probably better the whole bsr file. This is not something I can do for version 2.2.0, and given the fact that our number one priority project (Accurate restoration of renamed/deleted files) did not get implemented and no one is working on it -- you can probably imagine where my time will be spent in the near future ...
