Oh, I was able to use Qt4 on Debian up to this release (ie the prior
beta releases, bat compiled just fine)
Here's the packages I have installed right now (not sure you need all of
those).
qt4-dev-tools
*qt4-designer
libqt4-dev
*libqt4-core
*libqt4-gui
*libqt4-qt3support
*libqt4-sql
*qt4-qtconfig
* These were auto-installed by aptitude
Initially, just installing these wasn't enough and I had trouble
compiling until I noticed that qmake and the likes are in
/etc/alternatives and needed to be switched there (they were pointing to
the old qt3 stuff), so I think I updated qmake and qtconfig manually
(using 'update-alternatives --config qmake' and similar).
Now I have this in /etc/alternatives:
