Hi list, as already stated, there are some problems with the webmin bacula module, e.g. with /etc/bacula/bacula script for checking whether bacula runs. I digged something deeper into the script and found a solution how it works. However, I collected the needed stuff from another bacula-installation on SuSE (which still has 1.38, but contains the needed script). Symlinking as suggested in users-list makes it obviuosly work, but not completely, as there is need of "special" init-scripts - those with "ctl" in their names. Those scripts exists, if bacula is compiled from source, but didn't exist on my ubuntun-installation from marcs repos.
So, to make a long thing short: Should I supply the mentionend scripts and if "yes" in which way and how can one update the ubuntupackages (can't say whether the scripts exists in debian, suse, fedora and so on) and also here if "yes" how? As I got a rather nontechnical customer who needs to administrate the stuff, the webminthing is kinda nice I dare to say. Regards, Benni -- Benjamin E.
