Well, from what you describe above, it seems to me that bat is working correctly. Bat proposes a default pool that it thinks is correct, and in cases where the user only uses one pool it is correct. If you are using multiple pools, you simply need to tell bat by setting the correct pool. I don't see that as a bug, but a documentation issue -- unfortunately, at the moment there is no bat document.
