Hello Mariusz, Below is some information from a Bacula user who is successfully using a FC, in a configuration somewhat similar to what you have. I hope some of this information will help you.
As soon as I get a chance to ensure that there is no confidential info in his
conf file I will send it to you.
He also asks for additional information about your problems, and that is one
of my questions too. I've never clearly understood the problem because I
don't remember seeing the *exact* error messages from Bacula. That makes it
much harder to diagnose things.
Best regards,
Kern

KES: his configuration is:
HBA Model : QLA2310
Driver Version : qlc-20060630-2.16
FCode Version : 1.14.15
Firmware Version : 3.03.117 IP
Here are some comments to the Polish configuration:
> Hardware configuration:
> * xSeries 3690, CentOS 4 (like RH ES4)
> * Two DS4000 FC 4 Gb PCI-X Single Port HBA; in system identified as
> QLogic QLA2460 - PCI-X 2.0 to 4Gb FC, Single Channel
> * TS3310 library, with two ULT3580-TD3 drives, connected directly to HBAs.
---> so he is running loop-mode between FC-adapters and tapes ...
And should hard-code that loop-mode in the adapters bios-settings
On other servers we also use QLA2460 adapters ->
According to Qlogic support site he should flash it with
multi-boot image for 4Gb HBAs contains 4Gb BIOS version 1.29,
4Gb FCode version 1.27, 4Gb EFI version 1.09, and firmware version
4.00.30.
There are also special options for enabling of FCP-2 resets (FC-Adapter
BIOS setting).
Hope that helps ...
Could you provide more details about his problems????
I've attached a tar file with my mtx-changer script and bacula-sd.conf!

I'd also be very interested to see what bacula-sd.conf Device directives
you are using.
Best regards,
Kern
