My question is whether this causes any issue if you try to build
Bacula with pbuilder (pbuilder installs a minimal image in a chroot,
and then applies the set of tools and prereqs necessary to build the
package, and then builds it; it's great for getting your build-deps
clean and for catching those things which you didn't recognize as
dependencies because you've always had them installed on your
system. The salient feature of pbuilder, though, is that it works in
a completely hands-off way, so the manual step of update-alternatives
would be a problem.

My guess is that we're still OK, because pbuilder will choose one or
the other of qt3 or qt4 but not both, but I don't know that for sure.

I will try it at some point, I hope, but I don't have a block of time
to work on it in the near future. If there are any Debian users out
there with free cycles: has anyone tried building the Bacula/bat
packages inside pbuilder? Does it all work?

I would urge Chris Howells to do this; it would fix the manual-
intervention-required step, and as long as it doesn't hurt any other
build processes, I don't see that it's a bad thing.
