Hi, I just installed a new workstation with a 3.0.2 file daemon. The director is still 2.4.4.
It seems that they can not communicate: 25-Aug 09:59 VUMEM004-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: File daemon at "172.20.1.224:9102" rejected Hello command Is this by "purpose"? I know that dir and sd should be upgraded at the same time and that newer dir's and sd's can communicate with older fd's (as long as no new features are used). I thought that it would also be possible for newer clients to talk to an older dir. IMHO this is important, because on servers there won't always be the latest version. But clients (at least here) have a much faster lifecycle and will be installed with the fd version that is up to date.
