I don't believe that your code will work (already pointed out by someone
-- Erice I think).

I believe that we have long ago already covered this feature.  It could be
that I made an error in implementing it, but eventhough this issue has
come up before, and we are open to new ideas, no one has come up with any
well studied criticism of the current code.
