I am not interested in using AspectC++.  It is just one more concern for 
porting and at this point in time will consume time for "cleanup" when we 
need all the time we can get for "implementation"

The few new operators we use will probably be removed, and there is absolutely 
no chance that we would even consider the STL.

Bacula's malloc() cannot return a NULL pointer.  If you want to know why, 
please read the code.

No.   Our current error code handling works across all platforms and does not 
require us to check return codes everywhere.

We are not interested in adding many more object and aspect oriented features.  
Over time a few more class definitions will be added but that is about all.

As I mentioned in a previous email.  If you can find outright bugs, you would 
be doing the project a big help.  For the moment, we cannot even think about 
trying to take on more C++ features. It would be too disruptive to the 
project.
