I am not convinced that any small tweak such as you are suggesting will resolve your problems, which is why we implemented a new set of directives. I believe that these kinds of problems should be "resolved" by appropriate implementation of the Duplicate Job Control directives that were added in Version 3.0.0. http://www.bacula.org/3.0.x-manuals/en/concepts/concepts/New_Features.html#SECTION003100000000000000000 If these are not adequate, I would like to know why.
