Yes, I agree with you completely, and in the next version of Bacula, SQLite
will probably be "officially" deprecated, which means that we will announce
that it will no longer be supported. Normally, that means that we no longer
fix bugs, unless someone submits patches, and we wait a year or two before
actually removing the code. We like to do it slowly over time so that users
that are using it have plenty of time to switch.

Thanks for mentioning the scripts -- that should help encouraging users to
make the switch. I am one of those who needs to switch :-( At an
installation I have been maintaining for MercyShips Switzerland for the last
9 years with Bacula, it is still using SQLite3 -- I switched from SQLite2 to
3 a year or so ago.

Best regards,

Kern

What happens now with your Lotus Notes apps - do you make another costly
upgrade, or settle for being marooned without product support? Time to move
off Lotus Notes and onto the cloud with Force.com, apps are easier to build,
use, and manage than apps on traditional platforms. Sign up for the Lotus
Notes Migration Kit to learn more. http://p.sf.net/sfu/salesforce-d2d
