Platform configuration:
Catalog database back-end is MySQL 5.5.8 with Enterprise Monitoring
installed, connecting via the Enterprise Monitoring proxy.  MySQL
database storage is on two ZFS mirrored SATA disks shared with the OS.
Volume storage is on a separate ZFS RAIDZ2 pool of 12 1TB SATA disks
distributed across two PCI-X SAS controllers.  Server is dual-P4, Nocona
microarchitecture, 16GB RAM, running Solaris 10u9 amd64.
