Which advantage?

No fdisk, no mkfs, no mount, no umount, no fsck.

Buy and disk,
put the disk in the usb-hotplug-station,
label the disk with bacula,
use the disk in the same way an tape will be used, only faster
and with seeking by random access ;-)


So why not use disk drives in a direct way, just when the drive
is hot pluggable eg. usb drives/cards.

At the moment I'm checking mhVTL but this is more complex than
I think it must. So this is not really an opinion.
