Hello, I have made some hard work to use my usb drive bay with different disks usable. It is now working but there so much pitfalls so I'm unlucky with that solution.
I think an good and easy solution could be to extend the Media type option with an universal interface so all relevant actions could been executed by external scripts/programs. But this is not a must. With this extension there is no need to direct access exotic or special hardware situations by bacula-sd. All access could be do by external scripts: The "Requested mount" options with there options "mount command", "mount point", "unmount command", "write part command" and "free space command" could be easy extended by new commands "create part command", "read part command", "write label command", "read label command", "seek position command", "read position command" I think with this option most of situations should been usable for any old, special and future devices ;-) What do you think?
