Why not. :)
I think, Kern should define a scope of the project and apply to GSOC. IMHO
example projects should came from Bacula projects TODO list. My
personal favorites:
Item 20: Job migration between different SDs (require a design of sd->sd
communication, someone on this list proposed a development of this
functionality but IMHO without any success)
Item 21: Implement Storage daemon compression (it should be very easy to
achieve, I can give tips how to do that)
Item 29: Multiple threads in file daemon for the same job (I prefer record
level multithreading then file level multithreading proposed in projects
file, pros: faster compression and encryption)
Item 32: Bacula Dir, FD and SD to support proxies
Kern, what do you think about it?
