yes, a git push to the public repo would be appreciated, it would enable
me to publish the most up to date version in its debian package.

What might have confused me is that bug 2430 says "fixed in 9.2.2", but
the fix seems to be only on the website.

For publishing the html on the website you may be interested in a recent
fix to latex2html [1] which addresses a problem when generating some
tables. Bacula-docs is affected.
